The Internet Rights Forum was created by members of the French Council of State Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin in May 2001, with the support of the French authorities. It was the result of the French reflexions on internet regulation since 1996. The Forum concentrated on legal and social issues related to the Internet, promoting partnership between authorities, users and private sector in a mode of regulation that is original and fitted for the Internet.

The Internet Rights Forum is not active any more.
